Tramways Unlimited Festival includes professional and public events featuring workshops led by participating artists and an inclusive conversation with disabled artists, about art made by disabled artists. Find out more here.
I have been working with Tramway and Daisy Douglas to create a panel discussion as part of the programme. It's always a privilege to be asked and I love having the opportunity to consider how to place meaningful conversation into a festival like Tramway's Unlimited Festival.
The panel discussion is called Being A Disabled Artist: Relevance, Representation and Resilience and tries to build on the conversations we started at Tramway's Unlimited Festival in 2016 during a symposium we held to ask "What's next?" This was inspired by a notable gap between some of our very established Scottish artists and the next generation of artists in terms of support.
